Automate your application

Diagnostic chips

Pre-storage of reagents in small cavities of diagnostic chips or microfluidic cartridges.

Apply consistent coating films on sensor surfaces by reproducible nanoliter droplets.

Lateral Flow

Non-contact spot or line printing for the production of multiplex or line-based lateral flow assays.

MS sample preparation

Reproducible deposition of reference standards on tissue or other substrates for qMSI.

Intuitive software

Effortlessly define printing patterns by clicking on selected positions of your substrate. Utilize the Live-View mode for direct and precise selection via the screen.

PIPEJET® nanoDispenser

Experience nanoliter droplet generation (2 - 70 nanoliters) with our advanced piezo-actuated dispensing technology. The key element is the elastic polymer tip (dispensing pipe), manipulated by a piezo-driven piston for precise control of droplet volume.

Uniform droplet generation

Ensure robust dispensing of nanoliter droplets, even for challenging liquid classes.

  • Accommodates simple to complex print patterns
  • Deposits droplets into the smallest cavities
  • Preserves substrate surface integrity
  • Achieves precise droplet volume control through optical imaging.

BIOSPOT® - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What kind of dispensing technology is used?

The PIPEJET® dispensers are based on a piezo actuated non-contact, drop-on-demand technology enabling the generation of uniform nanoliter droplets by direct volume displacement.

What is the maximum number of dispensing channels?

8 dispensing channels. The BIOSPOT® Dx can be equipped with up to 8 PIPEJET® dispense modules. Other configurations (e. g. combination of SIJET and PIPEJET®) require BIOSPOT® Custom or BIOSPOT® X (for additional 3rd party integration).

What kind of liquids can be dispensed?

The droplet dispenser can dispense a wide range of liquids including buffers & detergents, DMSO, ethanol, methanol, beads, living cells, oils, and more.

I have a custom diagnostic chip design. How is the chip secured on the workdeck?

Device can be configured with custom substrate tray layouts specificly designed to fit the dimension of your diagostic chip or cartridge.

Additionally, standard deck layouts are available to secure standard substrates, such as membranes or glass slides.
